Michael Brown joins Caliche as a well-established and respected commercial energy professional, with 20 years of experience in asset acquisition, asset management, natural gas, pipeline, and storage for both thermal and renewable power. He recently headed up business development for Spire Inc. and oversaw coal decolonization efforts at OPUS Resource Partners.
Michael believes in teamwork and sets the pace by example. He is a developer and implementer of corporate strategy that has a history of producing strong financial results. He is active in deal management, from negotiation to execution. His long-term industry relationships with Private Equity, Utilities, Pipelines, Storage and Power Plant owners are built on trust and integrity. He is highly skilled in customer interface and transactional management, utilizing commodity finance, natural gas and power structured products, as well as creative credit structures that has led to negotiated and executed: JMAs, AMAs, SAs, LBFs, MFOAs, DUSAs, MFOSes, EMAs, NGSAs, SAs, TAs, PPAs and PSAs.
In his new position, Michael is responsible for Caliche’s commercial success and ensuring all functions are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives, most notably serving as a regional leader in the energy transition.
