Gaylon Williams oversees the day-to-day operations of Caliche’s subsurface salt cavern storage complex in Beaumont, TX, which will soon have capacity for eight million barrels across two caverns and pipelines. He is also responsible for directing the company’s capital projects execution. Such work consists of managing Coastal Caverns’ operational budget, fulfilling customer contractual requirements and maintaining the facility’s regulatory compliance.
As the operations team’s objective shifts from getting the project up-and-running to long-term reliability and sustainability, Gaylon will draw on his 35 years of experience in plant management—including two decades with Huntsman/Texaco and one with the TPC Group. He is committed to developing systems and work processes that accelerate results without compromising safety and to building a high-performing team of up to 22 employees.
Gaylon received a B.S. from Texas A&M and an M.S. from Texas Tech University; both degrees are in Chemical Engineering. He completed executive leadership training with the Ivey School of Business as well.
