Mr. York has more than 22 years of experience in construction, maintenance, and operations leadership in petroleum, chemical, and biofuels industries throughout the United States.
Prior to joining the Caliche Development Partners team, Bruce was Chief Operations Officer of Sabine Biofuels where he was responsible for leadership of the Sabine management team and strategic decisions for the operation of a 30 million gallon per year biodiesel facility. Before becoming COO, Mr. York was Vice President, Engineering and Operations for Sabine after transitioning from VP, Construction at Sabine’s parent/development company, Endicott Biofuels.
While Vice President, Construction, at Endicott Biofuels, Mr. York managed the engineering, procurement, and construction process to build a world class biorefinery plant to process ASTM D6751 biodiesel from animal fats and vegetable oils using a patented second generation biofuel process technology.
Bruce also spent 16 years with Jacobs, one of the world’s largest providers of engineering and construction services, where he held several leadership positions of increasing responsibility including Construction Engineer, Turnaround Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Construction Manager. Mr. York was also the Jacobs Membership Liaison for the Construction Industry Institute. When Bruce left Jacobs to join Endicott, he was Manager of Global Field Technical Services where he managed a department of subject matter experts supporting multiple large construction and maintenance projects across the organization.
Mr. York earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and continued his education with post-baccalaureate studies in Construction Management and Civil Technology at the University of Houston. He was also accredited as a Certified Plant Maintenance Manager through the Association of Facilities Engineers.
